Hello, I'm deanna
your Photographer
Photography has been a love of mine since I was very young. Everything about the process fascinated me and drew me in. The sound of the shutter, the smell of the chemicals in the darkroom, capturing moments in time and freezing them forever. I recognized the art and magic of it as a child and now, as a mom, capturing those fleeting moments has become even more important to me!
my experience

I picked up my first camera when I was in elementary school, and I can remember every single camera since! Once I reached high school, I upgraded from point-and-shoots and Polaroids to my first Canon SLR. I started learning the art of the darkroom and Photoshop in high school, and continued to learn that and so much more while working at the Nassiff Camera Shop and Studio, a local shop owned by an absolutely wonderful family who taught me so much real world knowledge about photography, cameras, portraits, and the incredible community amongst small businesses. I went on to graduate from the University of Hartford, Hartford Art School with a double major in fire art photography and ceramics and started my own photography business not long after. I love learning, and in this field, there are always fun new tools and techniques! I love to continue my education by attending classes, seminars, and conferences. I'm always excited to meet and talk with other photographers and check out the newest tools and techniques in out field!

dlg photography
I have been photographing people for well over 20 years and I have been in business for myself for over 15 years now. I specialize in portraits, weddings, and special events. My professional services include family portraits, fresh 48 newborn sessions, business headshots, graduation portraits, branding photography, weddings, special occasions, senior portraits, dance portraits, and more!
I absolutely love what I do and I truly love the variety my days hold. I love working with my clients and creating an experience they'll feel comfortable and confident in and creating photographs they will love for many years to come. One of the moments I love best in a session is seeing when my clients relax and their personality truly shines through. This goes for everyone, whether it's a toddler or an adult. The moment they begin to trust me and enjoy the process is a privilege I will always be grateful for.
